Novel radiocontrast agent dataset

A newly synthesised and characterized diiodine-substituted natural eudesmic acid - 2,6-DiIodo-3,4,5-TriMethoxyBenzoic Acid [DITMBA] and its water soluble sodium salt is investigated in respect to the most commonly applied radiocontrast media in medical practice - Ultravist® and Omnipaque®. A phantom with the iodine solutions was scanned with Canon Medical Systems radiography system at different imaging conditions: 40 kV, 60 kV, 80 kV and 100 kV, by using 2 mAs.
