Fecal microbiomes of Assamese macaque (Macaca assamensis)

Fecal samples were collected from individually identified Assam macaques (Macaca assamensis) at Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary, Issan Province, in Thailand. Fecal samples were later collected in RNA during defecation. Extraction, amplification, and sequencing were performed at the Department of Genomic and Applied Microbiology and the Goettingen Genomics Laboratory of the University of Goettingen. Information on sample collection (e.g. date, time) and individual characteristics (e.g. sex, age) is included in the metadata.
