Experimental data on welfare discrimination against ethnic minorities in Spain

This dataset contains data from a survey vignette experiment conducted in July 2023 (N = 2,386) to examine "welfare discrimination" against ethnic minorities. Respondents were exposed to profiles of young, fictitious claimants eligible for a means-tested social policy. The profiles varied randomly by ethnicity (Spanish, Latin American, and North African) and phenotype (light-skinned Caucasian and Black), with the latter constrained to claimants of foreign ancestry for plausibility.
