LSDSSIMR: Large-Scale Dust Storm Database Based on Satellite Images and Meteorologicall Reanalysis Data

Since meteorological satellites can observe the Earth’s atmosphere from a spatial perspective at a large scale, in this paper, a dust storm database is constructed using multi-channel and dust label data from the Fengyun-4A (FY-4A) geosynchronous orbiting satellite, namely, the Large-Scale Dust Storm database based on Satellite Images and Meteorological Reanalysis data (LSDSSIMR), with a temporal resolution of 15 minutes and a spatial resolution of 4 km from March to May of each year during 2020–2022. Meteorological reanalysis data are added to LSDSSIMR for spatiotemporal prediction methods. Each data file is stored in HDF5 format, and the final LSDSSIMR contains nearly 10,000 HDF5 files. Moreover, some traditional dust detection methods based on spectral analysis are executed as a benchmark.
鉴于气象卫星可从空间视角大范围观测地球大气,本文基于风云四号A星(Fengyun-4A, FY-4A)地球同步轨道卫星的多通道数据与沙尘标签数据构建沙尘暴数据库,命名为基于卫星影像与气象再分析数据的大范围沙尘暴数据库(Large-Scale Dust Storm database based on Satellite Images and Meteorological Reanalysis data, LSDSSIMR)。该数据集的时间分辨率为15分钟,空间分辨率为4公里,覆盖2020至2022年每年的3月至5月。数据集LSDSSIMR纳入了气象再分析数据,以适配时空预测方法的研究需求。所有数据文件均以HDF5格式存储,最终的LSDSSIMR数据集包含近10000个HDF5文件。此外,本文还采用若干基于光谱分析的传统沙尘检测方法作为基准对照方法。
