According to macromorphology observation, the fungus surface colonies had thecolour blue green and the reverse was brown on CYA and MEA, with floccose to velvetappearance. Micromorphology analyses showed that hyphae were septateand it was observed presence of elipsoldal smooth conidia in unbranched chains, bornefrom clusters of cylindrical to bottle-shape phialides. Molecular biology study was performed by using PCR primers for ITS1-ITS2 and β-tubulin (C.M. Visagie, J. Houbraken J.C. Frisvad, S.-B. Hong, C.H.W. Klaassen, G. Perrone, K.A. Seifert, J. Varga, T. Yaguchi, and R.A. Samson. Identification and nomenclature of the genus Penicillium. Studiesin Mycolog Y78: 343–371), and the sequencing was done with theforward primers. ITS and β-tubulin sequence demonstrated phylogeny with Talaromyces species and the closest species for both genes was T. amestolkiae CBS 132696.
