The older and larger version of the famous ‘Tales of a Parrot,’ by Ḍiyâi Nakhshabî (or Ḍiyâ-aldîn Nakhshabî), containing fifty-two stories, and composed A.H. 730 (A.D. 1330); comp. Beginning:الحمد لله ربّ العالمين و العاقبة للمتّقين و الصلوات الخ. The usual beginning of most other copies (but with the omission of the first two words, مناجات بحضرت) appears here on fol. 2^a: رازق النعاب فى عشّه الخ. The book concludes on fol. 242^b. On fol. 243^a the date is given, viz. 4th of Jumâdâ-alûlâ, in the first year of ‘Âlamgîr’s reign (=A.H. 1069, A.D. 1659, Jan. 28). On ff. 243^b-245^a a ḳaṣîdah by Shâh Ni’mat Walî-allâh (or more commonly Ni’mat-allâh Walî, who died A.H. 834=A.D. 1431, see Rieu ii. p. 634^b) and some arithmetical tables are added. Many pages slightly injured. No. 3496, olim 8. Pertsch《柏林馆藏土耳其语写本目录》，第439页。 本抄本的标准阿拉伯语开篇为：الحمد لله ربّ العالمين و العاقبة للمتّقين و الصلوات الخ，意为“万赞归主，众世界的养主；敬畏者的归宿确是敬畏者，愿平安与祝福临于先知”。多数其他抄本的通用开篇会省略前两个词مناجات بحضرت，而本抄本在第2叶正面（folio 2ᵃ）的开篇为：رازق النعاب فى عشّه الخ。 本书的抄写收尾位于第242叶背面（folio 242ᵇ）。第243叶正面（folio 243ᵃ）记有抄录日期：即奥朗则布（‘Âlamgîr）在位第一年的Jumâdâ al-Ūlâ月4日，对应伊斯兰历1069年，公元1659年1月28日。第243叶背面至245叶正面（ff. 243ᵇ-245ᵃ）附带有Shâh Ni’mat Walî-allâh（通常亦称为Ni’mat-allâh Walî，逝于伊斯兰历834年，即公元1431年，可参考Rieu《目录》卷二第634ᵇ页）所作的一首伽西德体颂诗（qaṣîdah）与若干算术表。 该抄本多页略有破损。本抄本馆藏编号为3496，原编号为olim 8. J. 26，共计245叶，每页15-19行；书写字体为纳斯塔里克体（Nastaʿlīq）；第1-6叶、33-36叶、39-42叶、181叶、188-245叶由其他抄手补抄；开本尺寸为8又7/8英寸 × 5又1/2英寸。
