Model validation is a critical challenge in ensuring the consistency of a SysML model, especially when multiple people collaboratively build a single model or when the model scales significantly. This paper introduces the application of openCAESAR to model validation of SysML system model. We proposed the approach leveraging the Ontological Modeling Language (OML) and the openCAESAR platform, which provide powerful consistency checking and inference capabilities to validate SysML models rigorously. We applied the proposed approach to the sample SysML model of the Satellite DX Research Working Group at Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Our initial experiments demonstrated that the OWL 2 Description Logic reasoner (DL reasoner) integrated within openCAESAR can effectively validate the semantic correctness of a system model with respect to the meta-model.
