Analytic code and reproducibility materials for "Clinical factors associated with low 5-minute Apgar score and neonatal mortality"

This repository contains analytic code, final effect estimates, sensitivity-analysis results, selection-analysis summaries, and reproducibility documentation supporting the manuscript “Clinical factors associated with low 5-minute Apgar score and neonatal mortality: a population-based record linkage study.” The study used publicly available data from the Brazilian Live Birth Information System (SINASC) and Mortality Information System (SIM) for residents of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil, 2017–2024. Raw microdata are not redistributed in this repository. Instructions for accessing the public source data and reproducing the analyses are provided in the included documentation. Primary analyses use modified Poisson regression with robust variance to estimate adjusted risk ratios for low 5-minute Apgar score and neonatal mortality. The repository also includes results of linkage, temporal, data-quality, and selection sensitivity analyses.
