The overlooked impact of extreme soil heating events on microbial communities and biota-mediated ecosystem functions: A climate change blind spot

This is a collection of soil surface and air temperature data from the UK, Portugal and the Atacama desert demonstrating the differences between soil and air temperature extremes that occur during rapid on-set extreme heat stress events. During these events, soil surfaces can exceed 40 degrees Celcius, and as such is a key focus of our review paper.本数据集汇集了采自英国、葡萄牙与阿塔卡马沙漠（Atacama Desert）的土壤表面温度及空气温度数据，用于呈现突发极端热应激事件中土壤与空气极端温度之间的差异。在此类事件中，土壤表面温度可突破40摄氏度，因此该类事件亦是本综述论文的核心关注对象。
