Number of pigs slaughtered in Norway 1996-2021

In 2021, the number of pigs slaughtered for pork production was almost 1,.6 million animals. Between 1996 and 2018, the number of slaughtered pigs in Norway increased annually. While the slaughtered number was 1.2 million pigs in 1996, the amount raise up to approximately 1.7 thousand pigs in 2018.
