Rice Oil for Treatment of Cutaneous Punch Wounds in Rats: local and systemic effects

This study evaluated the local and systemic effects of the topical use of rice oil in healing ulcers. Punch skin wounds were produced on the dorsum of thirty rats, and saline solut<b>i</b>on, mineral oil or rice oil were topically administered. The healing process was evaluated (blindly) by histology (optical microscopy to evaluate cellularity), quantification of cytokines and adipokines <i>in situ</i>, in real-time PCR and with serum by ELISA.
