资源简介:

This repository includes supporting data for the manuscript titled: Economic impacts of agricultural land repurposing objectives and planning scale: How to ease the pain? This supporting data includes R scripts, GIS files, input data, and result tables of this work. The analysis uses suitability layers from the MLRP Mapping Toolkit in the Tule and Kaweah subbasin to analyze economic impacts of multi-benefit land repurposing. For this, we created four land repurposing scenarios based on combined suitability indices from the toolkit. Each scenario is analyzed under three spatial planning scales: County level, Subbasin Level, and GSA level. This dataset contains the inputs and processes conducted to get to the results presented in the academic manuscript. Spatial data from the MLRP Mapping toolkit uses the PLSS grid (Public Land Survey System: Township / Range /Section, "MTRS") as the unit of analysis. Land use and crop type analysis is based on Land IQ 2020 crop mapping. FOLDER CONTENTS_______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Codes/ R scripts for the full analysis, organized by area and scale: - County analysis/ : cross-basin (county-level) scripts, including the "Standard Suitability TK" toolkit that builds the fuzzy suitability layers (agriculture, recharge, environmental risk, habitat/solar) and combines them into suitability indices. Also contains the pre-processed reference data and intermediate GIS inputs used by the scenario scripts. - Kaweah/ and Tule/ : basin-specific scenario analysis, each split into Subbasin/ and GSAs/ subfolders. Scripts compute the baseline and Scenario 1-3 statistics, benefits indices, and IMPLAN economic impacts, and compile the results. Each analysis folder also holds its own outputs: - "output tables/" : CSV summaries (basin summaries, crop summaries, suitability tables, and IMPLAN impact tables). - "Output rds/" : intermediate R data objects (.rds) for each scenario. GIS/ Spatial reference layers, organized by basin (Kaweah, Tule), including: - Subbasin and GSA boundaries (polygons) - Land IQ 2020 crop / land-use layers and associated crop tables - Disadvantaged Community (DAC) boundaries - Land Repurposing suitability indices from the MLRP Mapping toolkit Files are standard ESRI shapefiles (.shp with companion .shx, .dbf, .prj, .cpg), GeoTIFF rasters (.tif), R data objects (.rds), and accompanying metadata (.qmd / .xml) and tables (.csv, .xlsx). IMPLAN/ Inputs for the IMPLAN economic impact modeling, including the crosswalk table that maps Land IQ crop classes to IMPLAN sectors. IMPLAN sector multipliers are not published due to license constraints. FILE TYPES___________________________________________________________________________________________ .R Analysis scripts (R) .shp/.shx/.dbf/ ESRI shapefile components (vector GIS) .prj/.cpg .tif Raster layers (e.g., depth-to-water surfaces) .rds R data objects (spatial and tabular) .csv / .xlsx Data tables and output summaries .qmd / .xml GIS layer metadata SOFTWARE______________________________________________________________________________________________Analysis was performed in R. Economic impacts were estimated in IMPLAN. Scripts use relative paths and expect the folder structure above to be preserved.
