Gut microbiome response to dance intervention in breast cancer patients with obesity

This project investigates gut microbiome composition in breast cancer patients with obesity and evaluates the effects of a 12-week dance-based intervention on microbial community structure. The study includes both a cross-sectional observational comparison of breast cancer patients with obesity, non-cancer controls with obesity, and healthy controls, and a randomized controlled trial in breast cancer patients with obesity.Fecal samples were collected before and after the intervention and analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing targeting the V3-V4 region. The project aims to characterize gut microbial diversity and taxonomic composition in relation to physical activity, metabolic health, and clinical outcomes. These data provide insight into exercise-associated changes in the gut microbiome in breast cancer survivors.
