Multibeam bathymetry raw data (Kongsberg EM 122 entire dataset) of RV MARIA S. MERIAN during cruise MSM117@en

Raw multibeam bathymetry data were collected aboard RV MARIA S. MERIAN during cruise MSM117 using a Kongsberg EM 122 multibeam echosounder. The expedition took place during 2023-05-10 - 2023-06-15 from Recife (Brasil) to Ponta Delgada (Azores) in the Central and Northern Atlantic Ocean. Data were recorded in the EEZs of Brasil and Cape Verde and outside. MSM117 focused on investigating the variability of the western boundary current circulation off South America and to estimate the strength and variability of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) at 11°S. Sound velocity profiles (SVP) were applied on the data for calibration. Please see environmental data and the cruise report for details. The data are unprocessed and can therefore contain incorrect depth measurements (artifacts) if not further processed. Note that refraction errors may occur when no proper SVP is applied. Acquisition and provision of the data are part of the DAM Underway Project and are according to the FAIR principles.原始多波束测深数据由RV MARIA S. MERIAN（玛丽亚·S·梅里安号）科研考察船在MSM117航次中搭载Kongsberg EM 122型多波束测深仪采集获取。本次科考航次执行时间为2023年5月10日至2023年6月15日，航行路线从巴西累西腓（Recife）至亚速尔群岛蓬塔德尔加达（Ponta Delgada），作业海域覆盖大西洋中北部。数据采集范围涵盖巴西及佛得角的专属经济区（Exclusive Economic Zone, EEZ）及其外海海域。MSM117航次的核心科学目标为探究南美洲沿岸西边界流环流的变化特征，并估算南纬11°处大西洋经向翻转环流（Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, AMOC）的强度与变化规律。本次数据已通过声速剖面（Sound Velocity Profile, SVP）完成校准。详细信息请参阅配套环境数据集及航次报告。本数据集为未经过后期加工的原始数据，若未进行进一步处理，可能存在错误的深度测量值（即伪影）。需注意：若未采用适配的声速剖面数据，可能会出现折射误差。本数据的采集与共享隶属于DAM Underway项目，且严格遵循FAIR原则。
