资源简介:

Frank Clinton Mitchell (1896-1977) was born in St. Louis, Missouri, served in the Navy during the First World War, and was a life-long plumber. During the war he served as a Plumber and Fitter, first class from September 2, 1919 through September of 1921. He served on the ships U.S.S. Great Lakes, R.S. New York, and U.S.S. El Sol. Mitchell spent time at the U.S. Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Illinois, and he was assigned to the U.S.S. Sol, a freighter that carried American troops back from Europe during demobilization. He saw no combat action.

The Frank C. Mitchell Photograph Collection contains photographic portraits of Mitchell and his father Joseph C. Mitchell and wife Rebecca; U.S.S. El Sol; and numerous Plumbers Association gatherings from the 1920s.
