The present study focused on the antidiabetic potential of the methanolic extract of Petiveria alliacea (MPA) leaves following STZ induction in rats with diabetes, which leads to pancreatic beta cell dysfunction. The fasting blood glucose and body weight data are shown in Fig. 1 and Table 1, respectively. The serum insulin, HOMA-IR, and HOMA-β β scores of diabetic rats and MPA-treated animals are included in Table 2. The in vivo antioxidant potentials (SOD, CAT, MDA, and GSH) are shown in Table 3. The data were analyzed with SPSS Statistics V23.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.4. The results are presented as the means ± standard deviations (SDs).
本研究针对经链脲佐菌素(Streptozotocin,STZ)诱导的糖尿病大鼠——该造模方式可引发胰腺β细胞功能障碍——,探究Petiveria alliacea叶片甲醇提取物(MPA)的抗糖尿病活性。空腹血糖与体质量数据分别见于图1与表1。糖尿病大鼠与MPA给药组动物的血清胰岛素、稳态模型评估-胰岛素抵抗(Homeostatic Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance,HOMA-IR)及稳态模型评估-β细胞功能(HOMA-β)得分均收录于表2。体内抗氧化活性指标包括超氧化物歧化酶(Superoxide Dismutase,SOD)、过氧化氢酶(Catalase,CAT)、丙二醛(Malondialdehyde,MDA)与谷胱甘肽(Glutathione,GSH),相关检测结果见于表3。所有数据均采用SPSS Statistics V23.0与GraphPad Prism 8.4软件进行统计分析。结果以平均值±标准差(SD)的形式呈现。
