An integrated assessment of microplastic pollution in coastal surface water and sediment of Japan

This publication includes the dataset from the Tara-Jambio Joint Microplastic survey which consist of 110 samples from 14 locations across Japan in coastal areas (surface water and sediment).

Photo data was collected for every suspected microplastic particle for both surface water and sediment and a subsequent percentage of each was used for FTIR polymer identification.

For surface water CTD data was collected for every sample. This dataset provides only the data which was used for analysis.
