Trichosporon akiyoshidainum HP2023 is a fast decolorizing yeast, able to degrade different textile dyes. The 30 Mb genome containing 9,019 gene models is similar to other Trichosporon genomes and contains a high number of putative carbohydrate-active enzymes genes. The sequencing and annotation of its genome provide valuable insights into the genomic basis of dye decoloration.
