Deep eutectic solvents (DESs), a novel class of green solvents composed of hydrogen bond donors and acceptors, boast advantages such as simple preparation, low cost, and tunable physicochemical properties, rendering them promising for widespread applications. Eutectogels, constructed by integrating DESs as key components, not only inherit the desirable characteristics of DESs but also combine stretchability, high ionic conductivity, biocompatibility, and versatile functional design. As such, they are recognized as a new generation of functional materials capable of replacing conventional ionogels. This article systematically outlines the design strategies for functional eutectogels and reviews their recent research and application progress in three major fields: flexible sensing, energy conversion and storage, and biomedicine. It aims to provide valuable references for the design optimization, performance enhancement, and scalable application of these materials.
