Metagenomic and Metatranscriptional Analysis of Sulfur-Autotrophic Denitrification Coupled with Carbon Assimilation

This study established a long-term, stable lab-scale system for nitrate-contaminated wastewater treatment. Using a staged operational strategy, the study quantified the impacts of the S/N ratio and HRT on denitrification efficiency, sulfur-metabolite speciation, and inorganic carbon assimilation efficiency.
