Shoulder strength balance and sport-specific performance in elite male wheelchair basketball players: de-identified dataset and analysis code
收藏资源简介:
De-identified dataset and analysis code from a cross-sectional study of upper-limb isokinetic strength and sport-specific performance in 14 elite male wheelchair basketball players, comprising the full eligible pool of a national elite league. The dataset contains concentric peak and average torque for five shoulder and elbow joint actions at 60, 180 and 300°·s⁻¹ in both limbs, together with anthropometric, classification and sport-specific performance measures. Running the accompanying code reproduces every result reported in the manuscript: the two pre-specified association families with false-discovery-rate correction, the agonist–antagonist ratio and bilateral asymmetry analyses, the cross-validated regression models, and the full 720-association exploratory matrix. Participants competed in a league in which individuals could be identifiable from a combination of age, impairment classification and competitive record. Career achievement records were therefore removed, age and playing experience are reported in bands, and row order was randomised. These steps do not affect any reported result. The study was not prospectively registered. Consent covered the sharing of de-identified data.
