Tracking by HINODE of quiet regions of the Sun (granulation): Doppler measurements by the SOT/NFI in FeI 5576 A line

This dataset contains 5 sequences of Dopplergrams of the quiet sun near disk centre, which were derived from observations of the Narrow band Filter Imager (NFI) onboard the HINODE satellite (Solar Optical Telescope, SOT) in FeI 5576 A spectral line (which is insensitive to the magnetic field). The NFI provided scans of the spectral line, with 0.040 A spectral step, from which velocities were deduced mostly using the bisector method. The spatial pixel was either 0.08” or 0.16” and the Field Of View (FOV) either 80” or 160”. The sequences provide the evolution during several hours of the dynamics of the solar surface and can be used for further investigations concerning oscillations and waves (for cases with Dopplergrams at several altitudes corresponding to various chords of the bisector).
