Immune biological differences between Triple Negative Breast Cancer in African

This study aims to compare the immune microenvironment of newly diagnosed, stage I-III, triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) in African American (AA) and non-AA women, correlate differences, if any, with the somatic genomic landscape of the cancer, and test if addition of an anti-PDL1 antibody (MEDI4736) to weekly nab-paclitaxel followed by dose dense doxorubicin/cyclophosphamide chemotherapy could increase Pathologic Complete Response (pCR) rates in a prospective clinical trial and assess if this benefit differs by race.
