The study was conducted to detect the occurrence, molecular characteristics and antimicrobial susceptibility of sorbitol non fermenting E. coli in lake water, fish and humans in central Oromia, Ethiopia. The prime objective of the study was to elucidate fundamental information on the transmission dynamics of the pathogen along the fish supply chain, from water to fish to humans through environmental contamination and raw fish consumption respectively.
