This work explores the role of the imaginary in shaping how the I orients itself in the world. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty, neuroscience (notably D.J. Siegel), and Lacanian psychology, it defines the imaginary as part of the Real-a woven structure of meaning and possibility. The I is formed within this space, returning to the world as both sensing and sensed, embodying a dynamic chiasm. The study frames life as presence and absence, rooted in a transcendent yet immanent alterity. The imaginary, likened to space-time curvature, expands the I's ontological creativity. Identity is no longer fixed, but emerges through choices, expressing a unique, ever-becoming self.
