Outputs from the dynamic vegetation model LPJ-GUESS with added functionality for wind and European spruce bark beetle (SBB) damage underlaying a submitted manuscript “Combining empirical and mechanistic understanding of spruce bark beetle outbreak dynamics in the LPJ-GUESS (v4.1, r13130) vegetation model” (Lagergren F., Jönsson A. M., Lindeskog M., and Pugh T. A. M.). The simulations were done for the Norway spruce forest of South Sweden, Austria, Switzerland and North East France. The model was first run with a default set of parameters for the SBB damage module, with and without including salvage logging and sanitary cutting (SSC). After a stand-alone calibration of the model, the model was run again with a new set of parameters including SSC, and the climate sensitivity was tested by adding 2 °C to all temperature data.
