Supporting data for "Power dynamics in horizontal politics: a case study of the yellow vests movement in France"

The research is a single-case study of power in horizontal social movements, grounded in the Yellow Vests movement in Occitanie, France. The study proposes an analytical framework that engages with the paradox of horizontality and with studies on prefigurative politics. The findings emphasize how participants encounter and resist the microdynamics of power, and how these interactions result in specific meso-level outcomes, combining three arenas of contention: prefigurative politics, direct action, and direct social action.
