Gluten degrading bacteria have potential therapeutic intervention in gluten intolerance. In this project, we have isolated two strains viz. Brevibacterium casei and Staphylococcus arlettae from human human duodenum biopsy sample which shows gluten degrading activity on gluten agar plates. These bacteria could be a part of human gut microbiome consortia of Celiac disease.
