RAVeM: Records of Alien Vertebrates in Mountains of the World

RAVeM (Records of Alien Vertebrates in Mountains) is a project that compiles and integrates data from different sources (point data from DASCO dataset + IUCN and Birdlife International species ranges + mountain boundaries from the Global Mountain Inventory) to consolidate the first large scale database on occurrence points of alien fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals documented in mountain ranges of the World. Moreover, along with the publication we introduce RAVeMw, a workflow that allows the customized compilation of alien species records for specific taxonomic groups or study areas; and RAVeMapp a web application for interactive map visualization that facilitates access to species-specific occurrence records, mountain-specific lists of alien vertebrate species and mountain characterizations based on environmental and anthropogenic features.
