Transcriptome assembly of Protocruzia marianaensis

This is the first report of a transcriptome assembly of a newly discovered a new Protocruzia species sampled from the under-sampled area near the Mariana Trench. There has been no large-scale study of this taxon, limiting the further analysis of its topics such as evolution and adaptation to harsh environment. Therefore, we constructed the first transcriptome assembly for P. marianaensis to provide baseline data for future studies of its survival mechanisms in high hydrostatic pressure environment.
