This dataset contains the data, analysis scripts, instruments, and educational materials used in a comparative study involving secondary school students. The study investigated the impact of physical versus virtual learning environemnts on student motivation (using the Academic Motivation Scale, AMS) and learning outcomes (quiz assessments) using the BBC Micro:Bit. Key contents include: Anonymised Raw Data: Pre- and post- test scores for motivation and quiz performance. Research Instruments: The adapted Academic Motivation Scale (AMS), quiz items, and observation protocols for problem-solving strategies. Teaching Materials: Task sheets used during the intervention.
