After around 2½ years of processing time, the holistic mobility concept for the city of Xanten is available. Together with the population, the city administration as well as the politics and the team of büro Stadtverkehr from Hilden, a comprehensive urban strategy for future transport and mobility development was developed. Based on the inventory and analysis, embedded in an overall urban model, numerous proposals for measures for the environmentally friendly and climate-friendly handling of transport have been developed for all means of transport.
By 2035 and beyond, mobility behaviour and requirements will change without compromising the quality of the accessibility of everyday goals. The mobility concept sets the course for this and contributes to the local transport transition in Xanten.
