Saccharomyces cerevisiae Strain Project. Saccharomyces cerevisiae

A diverse set of S. cerevisiae strains have been selected to study the evolution and function of population genetic variation. This study aim to provide insight into DNA sequence variation segregating in natural populations. A comparative analysis of the genomic data from this well known model organism will enable the identification of functional polymorphisms which can then be experimentally validated.
