Multigenerational cell tracking of DNA replication and heritable DNA damage (bulk)

The goal of this project was to analyze gene expression changes upon DNA damage induced by ionizing radiation (IR). To this end, human U-2 OS cells were left untreated or exposed to 4 Gy of IR and 24 h after IR exposure collected for RNA extraction and sequencing. Overall design: For Bulk RNA Sequencing unsynchronized U-2OS cells were treated for 24 hours with 4 Gy of ionizing radiation, or left untreated. Then cells were lysed and RNA extraction was done using the TRIzol isolation protocol.
