She suddenly 'took off' as she was docking at 2 a.m. yesterday, narrowly missed hitting S.S. Hawaiian Builder lying 600 feet ahead of point of impact. Note damage to dock in background under sign Los Angeles Harbor. 3-4: 100 feet from water's edge shed was shoved awry on landward side. In bulge is J.A. This is where thousands of visitors to Matson's Lurline would have been imperiled had crash occurred ten hours earlier as the Lurline sailed from (?) Honolulu at that time".
