Scotty Creek ForestGEO Project Camera Trap Data

This metadata publication presents a camera trap dataset collected for the Scotty Creek ForestGEO Project. The Scotty Creek ForestGEO plot is located in the Northwest Territories, Canada. This is the only boreal forest plot in the ForestGEO network. Over the course of the project, 28 cameras were used in 28 deployments, resulting in 6,688 total images (153 identified wildlife images). The dataset encompasses 5 identified species, with the most frequently recorded being Sandhill Crane (Antigone canadensis) with 90 images, Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) with 30 images, various bird species with 13 images, American Black Bear (Ursus americanus) with 10 images, and Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) with 10 images. Paired cameras and bait were not used in this project.
