Raw acoustic scattering data from the water column associated with artificial and natural reefs in the northern Gulf of Mexico for August 24-30 and September 19-22, 2016

Patterns in acoustically derived biological scatter associated with artificial and natural reefs were collected with calibrated multi-frequency scientific echosounders operating at 38,70 and 120 kHz. Transducers were deployed on a small towbody approximately 20m behind the vessel. Acoustic data were examined relative to ROV data collected to interpret species assemblage and community structure.

本数据集采集了与人工鱼礁及天然礁相关的声学反演生物散射信号，所用设备为经校准的多频科学回声测深仪，其工作频段涵盖38、70与120千赫兹。换能器部署于距调查船后方约20米的小型拖曳体上。声学数据将与为解析物种组合与群落结构所采集的遥控无人潜水器（Remotely Operated Vehicle, ROV）数据相结合开展分析。
