Mandated reporters’ experiences with reporting child maltreatment: a meta-synthesis of qualitative studies

Objective: To systematically search for research about the effectiveness of mandatory reporting of child maltreatment and to synthesize qualitative research that explores mandated reporters’ (MRs) experiences with reporting. Design: As no studies assessing the effectiveness of mandatory reporting were retrieved from our systematic search, we conducted a meta-synthesis of retrieved qualitative research. Searches in Medline (OVID), Embase, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Sociological Abstracts, ERIC, Criminal Justice Abstracts, and Cochrane Library yielded over 6000 citations, which were deduplicated and then screened by two independent reviewers. English-language, primary qualitative studies that investigated MRs’ experiences with reporting of child maltreatment were included. 研究目的：系统检索儿童虐待强制报告有效性的相关研究，并综合分析探索强制报告者（Mandated Reporters，以下简称MRs）实施儿童虐待报告过程中的体验的质性研究。
研究设计：由于本次系统检索未获取到评估强制报告有效性的相关研究，因此我们对检索到的质性研究开展元整合（meta-synthesis）。通过在Medline（OVID平台）、Embase、PsycINFO、CINAHL、Sociological Abstracts、ERIC、Criminal Justice Abstracts及Cochrane Library中开展检索，共获得6000余条文献题录，经去重后由两名独立评审员进行筛查。最终纳入以英语发表的、探究MRs儿童虐待报告体验的原始质性研究。研究质量评价采用经改良的《关键评价技能项目（Critical Appraisal Skills Programme, CASP）》核查表，并通过质性元整合方法合并原始研究的结果。
