资源简介:

Hyperactivation of β-adrenergic receptors (β-AR) represents a key pathophysiological mechanism in cardiovascular diseases and is known to induce vascular and perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) dysfunction in males. This dataset originates from an experimental study investigating the effects of β-AR hyperactivation on PVAT in female mice. Three-month-old female mice were subjected to 7-day treatment with isoproterenol (ISO), a non-selective β-AR agonist, or vehicle (VEH). Evaluated parameters included body composition, vascular reactivity, PVAT mRNA and DHE fluorescence analyses. The dataset encompasses initial and final body weight, organ and adipose tissue weights, concentration-response curves in aortic rings with and without PVAT using agonists such as phenylephrine, acetylcholine, and isoproterenol, quantification of β-AR expression, estrogen receptors, brown adipose tissue (BAT) markers, antioxidant and pro-oxidant enzymes, as well as nitric oxide synthase isoforms (eNOS and iNOS), and assessment of reactive oxygen species in PVAT via DHE. All experimental procedures were performed in accordance with international ethical standards for animal research and approved by the Ethics Committee on Animal Use of the Institute of Biology at the State University of Campinas (CEUA-IB/UNICAMP). This dataset provides comprehensive and high-quality information on the vascular and perivascular effects of β-AR hyperactivation in female mice.
