To help target VectorNet field sampling planned for 2025, gaps in VectorNet distribution data were identified. Existing information for polygon presence/absence status, calculated environmentally driven absence, recent surveillance data and available statistical distribution models were combined to identify the gaps in recorded core and edge distributions for all the VectorNet priority species. These maps were shared with project teams between January and March 2025, in both graphical and GIS format, and used to target field sampling areas. These data have been made available online for use by other vector sampling initiatives.

为锚定2025年规划的媒介监测网络(VectorNet)实地采样的目标区域,研究团队首先识别出该网络分布数据存在的信息缺口。研究团队整合了现有物种分布多边形的存在/缺失状态数据、经环境驱动推导的物种缺失记录、近期监测数据以及可用的统计分布模型,以此明确该网络所有优先关注物种的已记录核心分布区与边缘分布区的信息缺口。上述分布地图于2025年1月至3月期间,以图形文件与地理信息系统(Geographic Information System, GIS)格式共享给各项目团队,并被用于划定实地采样的目标区域。目前,这批数据已在线公开,可供其他媒介采样项目使用。
