Hydrogeological map 1:500.000 – Groundwater equals Malm

Distribution of the groundwater equals of the Malm as a specialist layer of the hydrogeological map 1:500 000. The presentation is recommended together with the separate specialist layers of the relevant aquifer. Zoom limit min. 1:1 000 000 to max. 1:200 000.
Groundwater equals are lines of the same heights of a groundwater surface or groundwater pressure area. The basis for the establishment of groundwater equals is the knowledge of groundwater levels in wells, wells, groundwater measuring stations and springs, as well as above-ground waters, which are interpolated taking into account hydrogeological and hydraulic conditions to lines of the same height. In addition, existing groundwater equal plans were taken into account in the preparation (see Explanatory Notes to the Hydrogeological Map of Bavaria 1:500 000, Fig. 6-2 and Table 6-1). Inaccuracy in the construction of groundwater equilibrium results in particular from the uneven distribution of digestion points.
Geometries and legend units are designed for the viewing scale of 1:500 000 (1 cm on a map equivalent to 5 km in nature) and are usually strongly generalised. The HK 500 is intended as a basis for larger-scale considerations, and it does not replace detailed investigations and assessments by a specialist office in the planning of local projects.
