资源简介:

This dataset contains estimates of gas emissions from fires in natural areas (mainly forests and scrubland) in mainland France in 2022. This data corresponds to a rasterization of carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions in burnt areas. The fire polygons are derived from a comparison of Landsat (1984-2017) and Sentinel-2 (2017-ajd) satellite images at fine resolution (10 to 30m). The method is based on the conceptual framework of the Global Fire Emission Database (GFED). It aims to quantify stocks in the presence of aerial carbon pools (leaves, branches, trunks, shrubs, herbaceous plants, litter) and underground carbon pools (soil organic matter, peat, lignite). Combustion compltness rates are applied to the stocks to quantify the amount of carbonaceous material burned. Finally, emission factors are applied to each burned pool to quantify the quantity of CO2 and CO emitted at each point of the burned patch. These combustion rates have been calibrated on measurements from atmospheric towers positioned close to the fires in 2022. For more information: https://egusphere.copernicus.org/preprints/2023/egusphere-2023-2421/ The dataset format corresponds to rasters (.tif) of the quantity of CO and CO2 emitted (in g) per pixel (~100m²).
