The SeisDAS project aimed to evaluate distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) signals in cross-well and surface seismic applications for high-resolution subsurface imaging. Several tests were conducted within this project. The experiment “Exp2” focuses on a surface seismic study, using a Vibroseis truck (Minivib) as the acoustic source and DAS fibre-optic cables (installed both in shallow trenches and on the surface) as receivers. The objective of Exp2 is to investigate signals acquired through active seismic surveys using DAS cables deployed in shallow trenches and at the surface, with a comparison across different types of DAS cables. The resulting datasets have been made available to the scientific and industrial communities.
