Metagenomic data from case of Talaromycosis

Talaromycosis, an invasive mycosis caused by Talaromyces marneffei (T. marneffei), is rare in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-uninfected individuals in non-endemic areas. This study reported seven cases of HIV-negative patients with talaromycosis diagnosed using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). The Metagenomic data, clinical characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of the patients were analyzed to improve our understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of talaromycosis.
