The Roebling site: pre-contact petroglyphs and historic brands in central Wyoming

A multicomponent rock art site in central Wyoming contains a pre-contact petroglyph panel and separate inscribed boulders, two with prehistoric petroglyphs and two with historic inscriptions. The petroglyph panel dates to the Late Prehistoric and is an example of Ceremonial Tradition rock art. Native American images on boulders are also likely Late Prehistoric, while historic boulder images are brands, presumably for sheep, and inscribed dates from the middle 1940s are attributable to sheep herders or ranch hands.
