Dataset for Ottaviani et al. (2022) Sticking around: plant persistence strategies on edaphic islands. Diversity and Distribution. Persistence-related trait data for 13 plant species (5 clonal, 8 non-clonal) specialists of granite outcrop edaphic islands in the Czech Republic. Traits are: lateral spread, plant height, belowground organ dry matter content [BDMC], age, radial growth, storage tissue, vessel size. Biogeographic and environmental predictors measured at each of the 20 studied edaphic islands: target effect [TE], soil fertility [PC1_soil_nut], soil sandiness [Soil_arid], soil depth mean [SD_mean], soil depth CV [SD_cv], PC1_clim, PC2_clim.
本数据集对应Ottaviani等人(2022)发表于期刊《Diversity and Distribution》的研究论文《Sticking around: plant persistence strategies on edaphic islands》。本数据集收录捷克共和国境内13种专生于花岗岩露头土壤生境岛(edaphic islands)的植物的持久相关性状数据,其中克隆植物5种、非克隆植物8种。所记录的植物性状包括:侧向扩展能力、株高、地下器官干物质含量(belowground organ dry matter content, BDMC)、植株年龄、径向生长速率、贮藏组织、导管尺寸。此外,数据集还包含本次研究涉及的20个土壤生境岛上测得的生物地理与环境预测变量:目标效应(target effect, TE)、土壤肥力(PC1_soil_nut)、土壤沙质化程度(Soil_arid)、平均土壤深度(SD_mean)、土壤深度变异系数(SD_cv)、气候主成分1(PC1_clim)、气候主成分2(PC2_clim)。
