Data from the results of applying a simple steady source gravity wave parameterization to both a year of the ERA5 reanalysis and a year of integration from an intermediate complexity general circulation model. Components of the parameterized drags are available in both datasets. Also included are results of parameter sweeps of the gravity wave scheme at the 50hPa level over major ocean basins. This data supports the manuscript: "Steady source gravity wave parameterizations and the observed momentum flux intermittency" by King et al. (2025)
