资源简介:
Staphylococcus aureus can cause hospital-associated and community-associated infections, and it is intractable because of the bacterial high virulence and broad-spectrum antibiotic resistance conferred by accessory genes. The CRISPR/Cas (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats-CRISPR associated proteins) system can provide bacteria with immunity against invading mobile genetic elements (MGEs) such as phage and plasmid, which are the main sources of accessory genes. Only several S. aureus strains containing CRISPR/Cas system have been reported, and no published functional study in these strains followed. In this study, 6 clinical S. aureus isolates with type III-A CRISPR/Cas system were identified, and their whole genomes were sequenced and analysed.
