The invention relates to a method for producing a set of trim elements which have a decorative covering and comprise a fixed portion which forms a fa??ade and at least one movable portion which forms a flap for closing an open-work of said fa??ade， the method comprising a step of producing a component blank (1) by overmoulding a layer (3) of thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin on the rear face of a layer (5) of a decorative covering material， the method being characterised in that the overmoulding step is carried out by injection and comprises the production of at least one pre-cut groove (13) on all or part of the periphery of a portion of the component blank (1) for forming a flap; and in that said groove or at least one of the grooves (13) has a flared profile.
