Hydrodynamic and Runup Data from a Video Monitoring System and Pressure Sensors, Hermitage Beach, Reunion Island: Offshore Forcing to Shoreline Water Levels and Runup (2020-2021)
收藏资源简介:
Hydrodynamic and runup data, Hermitage Beach, Reunion Island (2020–2021) This dataset provides offshore and nearshore hydrodynamic conditions at the Hermitage fringing reef beach, Reunion Island, combining a Video Monitoring System (VMS) and pressure sensors at two resolutions. It supports the analysis presented in the article "Storm-driven Wave Runup Analysis on a Fringing Reef Beach (Reunion Island)" (J. Machabée, F. Floc'h, C. Delacourt, G. Pennober, submitted to JGR: Oceans). Four files are included: Hermitage_HydroData_10min_v1.csv — 1707 rows, 10-minute resolution: offshore significant wave height and peak period, still water level, beach-toe setup, swash, 2% exceedance runup, and reef-flat water level and wave heights (sea-swell, infragravity, very-low-frequency bands). Hermitage_TWL_2Hz_v1.mat — continuous ~2 Hz video-derived Total Water Level at the shoreline, full year of camera acquisition. Hermitage_SWL_v1.mat — continuous Still Water Level time series, harmonised from the Reef Slope (RS) pressure sensor and the Pointe des Galets (PDG) SHOM tide gauge. Hermitage_Runup_2Hz_H1-H28_v1.mat — ~2 Hz runup signal (Runup = TWL − SWL), split by storm event (27 of the 28 events in Table 1 of the article; H23 excluded, no data). Full description of file structure, variables, units, and processing methodology is provided in the attached README file. Permanent pressure data on the reef were produced by OSU-Réunion, within the framework of the instrumented site of the research infrastructure ILICO (French Services Nationaux d'Observation ReefTEMPS and DYNALIT). Thanks to Yoan Benoit, Emmanuel Cordier, and Pierre Stamenoff for technical assistance during field operations, and Emmanuel Augereau for technical support on the camera system, coding, and data processing.
